On each of the last 13 days before the Nov. 2010 election, I'm
offering a new idea, thought or comment on how we can better position
Wisconsin for brighter day of economic prosperity and job growth.
7 days until Election Day
It’s no secret the direction for economic development is to move
strategies away from state control and increasingly into the hands of a
region, county and municipality. Fortunately, leaders throughout the
rural region I represent are used to working at the county and regional
level. Our ability to think globally and act regionally will
increasingly determine our success at developing our workforce,
marketing our local assets, keeping and attracting quality employers
and achieving our other community and economic development goals. I
welcome opportunities to be on the team of Riverlands, 7 Rivers
Alliance, Thrive, BEST and other regional initiatives.
