An Entrepreneurial Culture - Today's idea for a stronger economy

On each of the last 13 days before the Nov. 2010 election, I'm offering a new idea, thought or comment on how we can better position Wisconsin for brighter day of economic prosperity and job growth.

9 Days until Election Day
I strongly support our Inventor and Entrepreneur Clubs because they are effective at bringing together individuals with the skills to sell, manage and create products and services.  These clubs were pioneered by the Juneau County Economic Development Corporation and its director Terry Whipple and have spread across the state and even to other states and countries.  I strongly support programs in our K-12 educational system that introduce the concept of being an entrepreneur or business owner as an alternative to being a worker.  Programs like these are basic elements in creating a new culture that celebrates those willing to take business risks, re-defines business ‘failure’ as business ‘experience’ and encourages rather than quashes creative thinking.
